If you remember, I told you all a few weeks ago that Colton and I were going to Hamilton, NY to visit Colton’s sister at Colgate University. She is the starting goalie on their woman’s hockey team, and Colton has never been up there to see her play. So since it’s her senior year, it was now or never!
&&& let me start by saying, Hamilton was pretty much a “fall” wonderland.
On the first full day we were there, it was like a high of 40… Honestly, I had forgotten what the “cold” felt like. So, thank goodness I brought my favorite coat from last year with me on the trip.
Because she is a senior, her face was pretty much all over the rink. I mean everywhere haha which was really cool & in some times really funny.
Like, you would walk into a restroom stall, and there would be Ashlynn’s face staring at you on a flier – lol it was great.
That night, was probably my favorite of the trip! We had dinner in a near by town, called Casanova, at a restaurant called Seven Stones Steps located at the Lincklaen House.
When we first got there, we were a little earlier than the rest of our party, so we were escorted to their pub, located in the basement. &&& ya’ll. It was so cool. Like, when you picture an old pub located in upstate NY, this is what you would imagine.
You know, the real dark wood, a bartender who has probably been there for more than 20 years and had the coolest atmosphere. The restaurant itself was incredible beautiful, and the food was to die for.
The whole group had a really great time, and the wine didn’t hurt either!
A few snaps from the Hamilton’s local farmers market.
The fresh produce was to. die. for.
Also, can we take a moment to discuss just how Brussel Sprouts are grown?! Because seeing this, was life changing for me.
Probably the spookiest part of my Halloween lol
I know, we’re gross. 😉 Oh, well!:)
Late night Halloween drinks at a local pub with Colton’s parents.
The last picture before heading back home. & ya’ll, this picture does not do the entrance of Colgate justice. It is BEAUTIFUL. Like breathtakingly, so of course, we had to take a picture in front of it.
So that was our trip!
