My goodness, it’s crazy how fast this year has gone by.

I don’t want to keep you all long, but I do want to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! We’re waking up early this morning, to run in the Houston Turkey Trot and then are heading to my Mom’s for Thanksgiving dinner.

A few weeks ago, I shared with you all my 24 Days of Giving Gratitude. The first day, I told you all to start journaling things you’re thankful for each day. While I am not going to share all of my mine -lol, I did want to share a few.

  • I am thankful for my health. That I have legs that run, a heart that withholds, and that I am able to complete daily tasks without pain or difficulty.
  • I am thankful for Colton. My rock and my person. What I would do without him I cannot even imagine. I’m thankful that he treats me with respect, constant love and as his partner for life.
  • I am thankful for my dreams and aspirations. I’m thankful that I haven’t given up on dreaming.
  • I am thankful for my Dad, who bends over backwards to help me every day and rescues me in every situation. A Dad that helps me, loves me and pushes me to pursue my dreams.
  • I am thankful for my friends, who continue to be there for me and love me, no matter how bad I am at texting them back.
  • I’m thankful for my friends who truly and deliberately support this blog.
  • I am thankful for my mom. My person and my best friend. Words could never explain how thankful I am for everything she has done for me in my life.
  • I’m thankful for my mom and I’s weekly walks and the conversations we have.
  • I am thankful for Bentley and the constant love he gives us. The fact that he is more human than he is dog.
  • I am thankful that I have a roof over my head, food to eat on the table and a car to take me where ever I need to go.
  • I am thankful for Colton’s family, who have done nothing but welcome me with open arms and make me apart of there family.
  • I’m thankful I was able to graduate from the school of my dreams and leave with a life time of memories.
  • I’m thankful that I have a sister, that even though is 10 years younger, is still able to be my best friend.
  • I’m thankful, that I had the power to vote.
  • I’m thankful for beautiful and cool, sunny days.

Oh and one more.

I’m thankful for all of you and for this blog. For everyone who reads this blog every day and have supported me from the beginning. For everyone of you that messages me when a link is not working or comments when I need encouragement. My little space on the internet would not be possible without all of you.

Have a great Thanksgiving!

Happy Monday Loves!

Thank goodness it’s a short week!

I don’t know about ya’ll, but I’m so ready for Thanksgiving.

This past weekend was pretty chill for us. If you follow me on Snapchat (Lauren_smith6), then you know that we ended up not going to Waco. It’s a really long story-lol, but we are in the process of rescheduling. In all honesty though, I am kind of glad we didn’t go. We ended up having a really nice weekend here in Houston. Friday we stayed in, ordered Thai food, had a bottle of wine and put up our Christmas tree. Saturday I shopped and had a total girls day with two of my best friends from hs and then Sunday, we cleaned and went to Colton’s, Memo’s Birthday party. It was all around a really nice and beautiful weekend.

I literally cannot get over the amazing weather we had.

I have been absolutely swooning over this faux suede jacket from Poshsquare for months and this weekend I was finally able to wear it! I honestly cannot even begin to describe just how soft it is.

For anyone who doesn’t know, Poshsquare is an online, women’s clothing boutique, for on-trend, items at affordable price points. Key word, affordable, because their clothing does not look, nor feel cheap! Another reason I really like Poshsquare is because they have cute and stylish clothing for all women, at all sizes. It’s just kind of refreshing to see a site like them, don’t cha think?

I’m currently loving their Holiday collection!

Speaking of the Holidays. Ya’ll, I am in the spirit! We’ll be wrapping up Thanksgiving and jumping straight into Christmas, in just four days and I cannot wait!

Have a great day and enjoy your short week!

Tomorrow I’ll be sharing what healthy side I’ll be bringing to Thanksgiving this year!

Almost one week until Thanksgiving guys! My goodness, the Holidays have really come fast this year.I’m not complaining though, because I love everything about the Holiday’s, especially Thanksgiving.

Christmas can just get a little hectic, ya know? Plus, there is way more stress during Christmas time. Thanksgiving on the other hand, way more laid back.

The problem with Thanksgiving in Texas, is that you never know if we’re going to have nice fall weather, or if it is going to be almost 90 degrees. Last year, we were closer to the 90 degree mark. It was the worst

When I received this dress last week, I immediately knew I would be wearing it on Thanksgiving. I love the color, because burgundy is the color of the season. I love the fact that it is flow-y (super important for Thanksgiving!), light weight, and the fact that it is so easy to dress up or down. It’s also incredibly soft! I paired this dress with these lace up heels to make me feel taller and leaner, then added this scarf, just in case we have cooler weather. If not, no worries – I’ll just take it off!

The other great thing about this dress is that it is only $14.99 so #winning lol. I’m not going to lie, when I pulled this dress out of the bag, I wasn’t “Oh my god” impressed. Then when I went to put it on, I was more than presently surprised. Like it literally fit perfectly and like I said before, is so soft

Last year, I shared with you guys this post on my tips for dressing for Thanksgiving. I’ve applied all of my same rules to this year, except I mixed it up a bit!

A key thing to remember, is that you don’t have to dress frumpy to dress comfortably.

What do you guys like to wear on Thanksgiving?
