Good Morning & Happy Monday!

I’m not even kidding, when I say this weekend might have been the most beautiful weekend I have ever seen. Okay, that may be a bit of an exaggeration… but still.. it was just so beautiful.

As I told you guys Friday, my best friend Ann came in town for the weekend and we literally just had the best time. I’m not going to lie. It was really hard for me to let her get on that plane Sunday. I was like, “do you really have to go back-haha??” Any who, how was everyones weekend??? On top of it being beautiful outside, it also felt amazing out. Like crisp and cool in the morning, but heated up during the day without it being totally hot. Since the weather wasn’t in the 90’s, I literally kept trying to wear sweaters, like this one, all weekend long, even though we’re definitely not there yet.

The minute I saw this sweater at Planet Blue a month ago, I knew it would be one of those pieces, that if I didn’t get it immediately, I would definitely regret it. I love this look because the soft pink isn’t your normal fall color, but it really works. I love this pink sweater just as much and double points for it being much cheaper.

Oh, side note! This lipstick has also been my absolute favorite recently. I’ve had a million people ask me about it through Snapchat, so I wanted to share it with you all. It’s Stila and it is actually a lip stain and not a lipstick! When I wear this, I use a chapstick over it keep my lips from getting chapped.

Sunday, we had the Bridal Event, Fashionably Ever After at Baanou, and it turned out to be such a fun time and such a great event!!! I literally loved everything about it. From the planning, to actually putting it on, it made me super grateful to be doing what I am. I’ll share pics of the event probably next week! Thank you so so so much to everyone who came out ❤

This week looks like it is going to be pretty busy. Monday-we are going to dinner at Colton’s parents, Tuesday-Colton promised we would finally carve pumpkins, Wednesday-I’ll probably walk with my mom around Rice, Thursday-we have kickball and a special happy hour event, then Friday- we are heading out of town again!

Could we possibly be picking a wedding venue? We’ll see 😉

Hello Monday, we meet again!

How was everyones weekend?? Mine was going pretty a-okay until my car was broken into…. I hate to bring any sort of negativity to the blog, especially on a Monday, but as I write this, I am still so rattled that I had to address it.

On Sunday, I was super pumped to go to Buffalo Bayou for a run.  I had my whole day planned out. I was going to go for a run, get all of my errands done, shop a little and get ready for the week. When I got to the park, I was feeling super lucky because I immediately got a spot. So I parallel parked & went for my run. Forty minutes later, I came back and my passenger side window was completely shattered. When I first saw it, I was super confused, like I honestly didn’t think my car was broken into. That’s until I noticed my purse was gone. Since I was in such a shock, I was totally calm about the situation. Then as time went on, I kind of started to have a panic attack. Especially when I realized the burglar had wracked up over $500 worth of damage in 20 minutes. Even though the banks and credit card companies took care of everything, it doesn’t help the fact that I still feel super violated. Looking back, it was really dumb of me to have left my purse in the open, like I did, but it was in the middle of the day, and there were a million people out. I never thought in a million years that this would have happened.

Once the security personal finally showed up, it ends up, that at Buffalo Bayou, this has been happening A LOT. Just last weekend, five cars were broken into in the exact same area. So, if you are in Houston and are going to Buffalo Bayou in the future, DO NOT parallel park on Allen Parkway near Montrose. They are having a lot of break ins with almost identical cases!

Okay, phew, now that, that is off of my chest. Let me ask again, how was ya’lls weekend? I picked up this top at Planet Blue before a dinner party on Friday and immediately became obsessed with it. It is literally the perfect casual dinner top because it is so cute, yet has some edge to it. It also comes in like five different colors. I really loved this nude one as well. I literally had the hardest time deciding between the two but ultimately picked this one. Also, my FAVORITE PURSE is on sale – so do not walk, but run to this opportunity.

Any who, this week, I don’t have too many events, but it will still be busy since we are leaving for ACL on Friday.

Have a great week loves!

Kate Kills Pretty Trunk Show at BAANOU

If you follow me on Snapchat (Lauren_smith6) or on Instagram (@lifetolauren), then you know that my favorite boutique in Houston, is in fact, BAANOU, located in the River Oaks District. I love it for many reasons. For one, because they always have the cutest clothing from an array of different price points. Like, if I have an event coming up, I always go to BAANOU first, no matter what. But the reason I always return, is because the owner Maryam goes out of her way to make her customers feel at home in her boutique. Which is how you should feel every time you walk into a store!

So when I started looking for engagement party outfits, I immediately went to BAANOU. Maryam brought me everything white in the store and the moment I tried on this two piece set, I knew it was coming home with me. Even though it wasn’t exactly what I went in for, it stole my heart. If you missed it, I wore it in this post

The designer of this piece, is Aries Milan of Kate Kills Pretty. You know, in honor of Kate Moss, so duh know her designs have to be killer.

After I bought my white two piece set, I started seeing more and more of her pieces in BAANOU. So when Maryam told me Aries was coming into town, for her Kate Kills trunk show at BAANOU, I was so excited to meet her.

Aries is literally the sweetest person ever, and it was so cool hearing how much work and thought goes into each and every piece. I loved hearing how particular she was on choosing the material of her clothing, which is very high quality, because she wants it to be the best! While I was there, I tried on all of her pieces and had a little fashion show in BAANOE while sipping champs – lol, it was fun!

Kate Kills Pretty is literally all just so perfect. The pieces are classic, with just enough edge. You can check out the Kate Kills Pretty Instagram, here

After the trunk show, I came home with the floral skirt above, and I am in L-O-V-E ya’ll. I’m thinking next is definitely going to be the black romper though.

So if you love Kate Kills Pretty as much as I do, be sure to head into BAANOU to check out her collection for yourself in person!! Oh & I promise, Maryam & her girls will make you feel right at home 🙂
