Happy Friday Friends!:)

Are you guys as ready for the weekend, as much I am?? I’m not quite sure what all this weekend will bring, but the few things I do have planned, I am really looking forward too. This is our last weekend home for awhile, so I am planning on taking advantage of what Houston has to offer.

This week has been crazy stressful, so I am looking forward to a fun filled weekend!

In other news, if you see me around, expect me to be in neutrals. Ya’ll, I know I have been wearing a crazy amount of black & white recently, but I have also been wearing an abnormal amount of tans and neutrals. Starting with this look I wore a few weeks ago.

Since it is still too hot outside to actually start dressing for fall, neutral tones like camel, tan & white bring in the perfect transitioning vibe. For example, this top. Ya’ll, it’s so cute it kills me, and the fact that it is such a perfect price point, makes it the perfect top.  Then I know I’m for sure getting this hat before we head out of town next week and I officially need these earrings in my life.

Neutrals are just so classy and chic, amiright

Like give me a nude silky dress, big tortuous sunglasses, a neutral hat and we’ll call it a day. But lets make sure to add a glass of Pinot Grigio to the mix -lol!

Sooo bougie 😉

Anyways, what all do you have planned for the weekend? Are you obsessing over neutrals as much as I am? Fill me in!

Okie dokie, that’s all I have for today!

Have a great weekend!

Good Morning Guys!!

I hope your Monday is off to a great start! As I write this, I am try my absolute hardest to keep my eyes open. We just got home from an eight hour car ride from New Orleans. Yes, you heard that right, eight hours! The drive is normally around five hours from Houston, but due to the flooding in Louisiana, there were a lot of freeway closures! So needless to say, I’m kind of exhausted!

My best friend moved to New Orleans at the beginning of the summer, so we went there to visit her for the first time, as well as for the Red Dress Run. Which, by the way, was a totally blast! Everyone was in red dresses, even the boys! It was crazy but I loved it lol.

Actually, it seems as if we will be gone every weekend for almost the next two months. spring & summer time is a really down time for us. We spend a lot of time in Houston and do not have a lot planned. The fall though? That’s a whole different story! Every fall we are always so packed with plans, which is probably why it is my favorite time of the year.

I think I am just really ready for the temperature to drop as well, ha!

I’ll start showing more fall clothing here in the next few weeks. I know it’s a little pre-mature, but it’s better to get items now before they are all sold out. This top is actually one that I bought during the Nordstrom’s sale and it sold out almost immediately, so I am glad I found this one that is almost identical! It’s literally the worst when I go to link something for you guys and see that they are sold out. Like, it literally makes my heart drop! So I promise when it comes back in stock I will let you guys know on Instagram!

Have a great day 🙂

Happy Friday! If you follow me on Instagram or on Snapchat (Lauren_smith6) then you know that I am in LA visiting one of my best girl friends! Getting here was kind of a disaster – lol, but everything ended up working out in the end. Let’s just say we had some trouble with my luggage that caused me to miss my flight -ha! But like I said, everything is good now! I’ll actually, be here for the next week. There are a few things going on here in LA for work, so it only made sense for me to stay a few extra days! And hey, I am not complaining

I love being here, I love seeing Haley, and I love girls weekends. So lets just say I am a happy camper – ha!

These pants definitely made there way into my bag for the week. When I first saw them, I was walking through Nordstrom’s, saw a girl wearing them, and fell in love. Next thing I knew, I saw them hanging on display right there in from of me. I didn’t even try them on! I just knew haha. I swear, I love these pants so much that I wore them probably 5x the first week I bought them. Also, lucky for you guys, these Leith Pants are on SALE!

They really do bring in that LA vibe. You know, the casual, effortless, beach-y, oh so chic vibe & I love it! They are also surprisingly super flattering for a wide leg.

Anyways, I am off to enjoy the rest of the day. Let’s just say it will probably include a patio,  lots of bubbly and shopping!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Pajama Sets

When I was 8 years old, Miss Congeniality had just come out, and in one scene, Sandra Bullock had the cutest pajama set I’d ever seen. I immediately wanted to be just like her. Why this made an impact on me, I have no idea! But it did, and in that moment, I told myself that I couldn’t wait to be older and have a whole bunch of cute pajama sets for myself.

To 8-year-old me, pajama sets meant that you were, in fact, an adult – lol.

Even though that is clearly not the case, none-the-less, I have kept a little bit of that in me. Meaning, for some reason when I graduated college, I told myself it was no longer acceptable to wear boxer shorts and a sorority t-shirt to bed. That I was an adult and should have proper pajamas.

I honestly have no idea where I came up with this, but I’ll always blame it on Sandra Bullock.

In the past two years, I have bought more pajama sets than I know what to do with. I know that makes me sound literally insane, but I just love them. Mainly because they are always so soft, so comfy and I don’t feel like a slob in them. They make me feel like an adult when I am having the hardest of #adulting days.

I recently picked up this set before the Fourth of July weekend and it has become my favorite ever since.

BTW – in case you didn’t know, the Nordstrom’s Sale opened up to the public this morning! Here is my guide for all you ladies, and here is my guide for the men! I would get what you can before everything sells out, because it will sell out quickly!

Have a great weekend loves!
