Happy Fri-yay!

Ya’ll, I walked outside this morning to take Bentley out and it actually felt like fall!!  We have finally got a cold front and I am praying it is here to stay! This weekend is supposed to be absolutely gorgeous, so I plan to take advantage of this beautiful weather as much as I can.

My best friend Annie comes in town today for the weekend and I couldn’t be more excited! She moved to New Orleans a few months ago and I’ve really missed her, so I am glad she is here with me this weekend. Plus, it’s always fun having guests in town because it makes you want to go out and do things as opposed to being a hermit like I usually am -ha!

I picked up this beautiful velvet skirt from Urban Outfitters a few weeks ago and honestly cannot say enough good things about it. It’s flattering, it’s so comfortable, and I love the details on it. This skirt also comes in two other colors, but for some reason I really loved this patterned one. The moment I tried it on I was like “yep, you’re coming home with me” lol.

It’s the perfect skirt for the fall, if you live in a place like Texas. You really never know what the weather will bring you. So having fall pieces that are not only jeans and sweaters is a must. Plus this skirt is velvet. Need I say more?

Since the weather is cooling down and is (fingers crossed) here to stay, I’ll probably pair this skirt with a long sleeve top and over the knee boots next time I wear it.

Also, if you’re in Houston this weekend, don’t forget about my Bridal event this Sunday at Baanou in the River Oaks District! Whether you’re a bride looking for the perfect dress for your bridal shower or you’re not a bride and you just want to come hang out, it’s going to be a blast! It’s from 12 – 3 pm and around 1:00 will be the style show. The invitation is below!

Have a great weekend!:)

Good Morning!

How was everyones weekend? Ours was pretty great! We spent a lot of our time hanging out with friends, watching football and staying pretty busy. I think Colton finally found a car, so hopefully he will be able to make his final decision today. On Saturday, I bought a new painting for the living room and after that, all weekend long, Colton kept saying how he wanted to make an “impulse” purchase too and I was like…”You’re buying a new car lol!”. It was like he had completely forgotten about it.

Not to mention, the painting was not am impulse purchase, we have been slowly changing everything around the apartment to start making it more like us, and not like me. So there.

Do you remember last week. how I was absolutely raving over how cool it was outside and how much I loved this nice “fall” weather we were experiencing? Well, jokes on me weather man. We had record breaking high temperatures here in Houston – lol.

The good news, is that at some point this week, we will be getting a major(ish) cold front, so fingers crossed! I am just so ready to be wearing cozy sweaters like this one, all the time. I have a few other cardigans like this, but this one  from Poshsquare stood out to me, because of its different stitching along the edges and the way the stitching goes up in the back. I love it because it is just a little bit different than all of the rest! It’s doesn’t hurt that it is less than $40 either. So when the cold front finally hits, my cardigan and I will be perfectly ready and happy 🙂

Any who, real quick before I forget, if you’re in the Houston area this Sunday 10/23, please join me at Baanou in the River Oaks District for the Bridal Extravaganza, Fashionably Ever After. I will be co-hosting the event and I promise it will be such a fun time! It will be a bridal shopping event, with styled fashion show. We’ll have cocktails, sweets, a dj, lots of fashion and more. So if you’re a bride, a bridesmaid, or just anyone who wants to come by, we would love to have you! I’ll share more information on the event throughout the week.

The ‘IT’ Shoe of Fall 2016

MARC FISHER LTD VASHIMARC FISHER LTD VASHIMARC FISHER LTD VASHIMARC FISHER LTD VASHIMARC FISHER LTD VASHIMARC FISHER LTD VASHIMARC FISHER LTD VASHIMARC FISHER LTD VASHIMARC FISHER LTD VASHIMARC FISHER LTD VASHIOutfit Details: Marc Fisher Booties Nordstrom’s ( Zappos ) // White Shorts // Paige Plaid Top (so soft!) // Black Ray Bans // Marc Jacobs Purse

Here’s is the deal, I really hate dedicating a whole post to one item. I know, hate is kind of a strong word, but I just really try to add value to my posts for you guys. So if I am dedicating a whole post to one kind of shoe, then you know, I am passionate about that shoe – lol.

Back in June, I had a little birdie tell me that these Marc Fisher Open-Toe Booties would be the ‘it’ shoes of the fall, and boy was that birdie right. Every season, there is always one shoe that will be the hottest of its kind and I am telling you, these are them. These booties already sold out once in July and have currently been restocked but are already running out of sizes. So needless to say, I am so glad I got them when I did! When these Marc Fisher wedges came out for the summer, I put off buying them and instantly regretted it when they were sold out for the rest of the season.

I swear, there is always that one shoe! You know what I am talking about too. There is always one shoe that you see every blogger wearing and then when you go to click the link, it’s sold out. And that’s like the worst feeling ever. Which is why I am telling you now, in August. So that way when October hits, your heart isn’t breaking when it’s sold out everywhere – ha! You can currently find them at Nordstrom’s, but Zappos has more sizes available!

In other news, I hope your Monday is off to a great start!!

This past weekend was so nice and so relaxing. Friday night we ended up having a date night and sitting on the patio at Brasserie 19. The rest of the weekend was spent with the normal spin class, errands, White Linen Night and then lots of movies -lol. The next few weekends will be really busy for us, so we really enjoyed just vegging out. Like I am not kidding, I think we laid in bed on Sunday until at least 1:00! We were just so tired, and like I said, there were a lot of good movies on lol!

Have a great Monday!
