Good Morning you guys! Happy Friyay!

This week literally flew by and I am not complaining about it one bit. Concerning my work & family, there were just good spirits in the air, so I will take a work week like this past one any day.

I know this is being super critical of myself, but when I was editing these pictures yesterday, I was like holy moly guacamole I need a spray tan! Yo girl has been really pale all week -lol.

None-the-less, pale or not, I have felt like a million bucks every time I have worn this outfit. So far I have worn it to a few birthday dinners, but my favorite outing, was for a girls night a few weekends ago. It was one of the first weekends the weather was starting to drop and this outfit was perfect for the occasion.

I feel like “going out – outfits” are harder to figure out when it starts getting colder out. You know what I mean? Especially if you are going dancing! It’s like, you want to look cute and have fun, but you also don’t want to freeze our booty off. Pairing this Planet Blue Romper with these Steve Madden boots, at first, was a little out of my comfort zone, but the moment I put it on, I loved it! I don’t know what it is about this romper, but I just love the way it fits. It just kind of hits in all of the right places, if that makes sense! I also love this romper because of its bell sleeves, I literally can’t get enough of them!

Any who, I’m not sure what all we have going on this weekend. Besides the fact that I super over booked on Saturday. I’m literally supposed to be three places at once, on Saturday at noon….so it looks like I may need to move a few things around in my schedule. I know one thing I will be doing, is getting ready to put out Christmas decor. Key phrase “getting ready”. I know it’s too early to technically put anything up, but I at least want to start pulling things out to see what I have so that I don’t over buy.

Have a great weekend loves!

Patchology Eye Gel Patches

img_9662-copyimg_9668-copyimg_9650-copyimg_9663-copy

Hi guys, Lauren here!

I have a confession to make.

I, Lauren Smith, have an addiction to Eye Gel Masks. I mean, a full on obsession. If you follow me on Snapchat (Lauren_Smith6), then there is a pretty good chance you guys have seen me wearing my gel eye patches  almost every day.

& let me note, this is not a sponsored post. Just straight realness.

When I wake up in the morning, the dark circles under my eyes are gnarly. Which probably has something to do with the fact that I sleep straight on my face…. but none the less, gel eye masks save me every time. When I first noticed my eyes really starting getting bad, I started going crazy over eye creams and saw little to no results until I started using gel eye patches

When it comes to these eye patches, Patcheology, are the best you will find. Remember, this is not sponsored! I love them because, not only do they really work, but because they also work really fast. For most eye gel masks, you have to leave  them on for 20 minutes or more, but these from Patcheology patches work in 5 minutes. Which is literally perfect for me, because I wear these before getting ready for work.

When I went to Nordstrom’s a few weeks ago , one of the ladies in cosmetics was trying to sell me on these Patchology Gel Eye  Patches and I just wasn’t buying into it at first. Long story short, she talked me into putting one patch on one eye and not the other, to see the difference between the two eyes and OH MY GOSH the difference. I turned to her and I go, “okay, we have to do the other eye now! I cannot walk out of here with one eye looking fab and the other one looking like the grim reaper – lol”.

For a pack of 30 eye gels, these bad boys run for $50, but if you are not ready to spend that and just want to try them out first, you can get a sampler pack for $15. That’s what I did and then immediately ordered more!

For the longest time I was using Skyn Hydro Firming Gels, which worked GREAT, but it was $30 for only eight patches….and I had to wear them for 20 minutes….so when Patchology came in my life, it was kind of a no brainer.

I wanted to share this with you because this is my most requested post from Snapchat. Like, I am not lying when I say I am commited lol. If you guys decide to try them, try keeping them in the fridge to keep them extra cool! It’s just amazing how in 5 minutes, they firm the skin under my eyes and take away the dark circles.

They are literally miracle patches!

You can find them online at Nordstrom’s, Amazon,  Neiman Marcus & Ulta

Five Ways To Start Your Week Off Right

img_9123-copyimg_9117-copyimg_9235-copyimg_9097-copyimg_9129img_9204-copyimg_9103-copyimg_9125-copyimg_9193-copyimg_9112-copyOutfit Details: White Bell Sleeve Top ($44) // Gap Jeans // Floppy Hat // Steve Madden OTK Boots (on sale!!) // Rebecca Minkoff Clutch // Tassel Earrings

Good Morning & Happy Monday Love Bugs!

What a weekend! After over a week of not being home and our lives being a little hectic, Colton and I decided to stay in Houston, instead of going to Waco for the Baylor vs TCU and my goodness I’m so glad we didn’t make the drive…… Love you Baylor, but that one hurt.

None-the-less, staying in Houston was definitely the best decision for us. Two of my best friends were in town for just the weekend and another girlfriend just moved super close to me, so I enjoyed spending time with them. Also, it was nice because Colton and I were just able to do our normal stuff. I was able to go to spin, our favorite breakfast place, and just had time to be home. We also slept a lot – ha!

Saturday, I walked over to Nordstrom’s to check out their sale and to do some damage but ended up not getting one thing on sale. I’m good with it though because I did get this top above and it was only $44. I ended up wearing it literally all weekend. It’s light weight and flattering which are both double wins for me!! I’m also loving the bell sleeves.

I’ve gotten a lot of questions on these OTK boots I am wearing and if they are better than the tie ones, and the answer is YES. I have the tie ones in black and these are just so much better. They fit my legs better and I do not have to worry about them falling or constantly tying them. Also, they’re on sale!!!

Any who, I hope you all have a great week! Below are my 5 Tips To Start Your Week Out Right ❤

  1. Have one cup of coffee then switch to tea. This will help you to feel less anxious throughout the day while also giving you a little caffeine fix.
  2. Clean (& declutter) up your desk. Instead of starting your day in a complete and total mess. Organize your desk to help you conquer the upcoming week.
  3. Make it a point to exercise for at least 30 minutes. Seriously so important!! Number one rule, never miss a Monday workout!! If you start your week out, not being motivated, it will be even harder for you to be motivated for the rest of the week.
  4. Write out your to-do list for the week. Making weekly to-do lists is more achievable as opposed to daily to-do lists. This allows you to look at the big picture and really see what you need to accomplish.
  5. Make dinner and eat it at the dinner table. You know… as opposed to Favoring Chipotle and eating it in front of the TV. Having a healthy meal and actually engaging in conversation at the dinner table, instead of binge watching TV will actually help you feel less anxious when dealing with the week to come. It will help to raise your spirit and oddly keep you motivated and positive for the whole week. Promise. I normally don’t mind eating dinner in front of the TV, but Monday’s, Colton and I always eat together at the table.

Lauren

What To Wear To The Pumpkin Patch

Outfit Details: C/meo Sweater // Gap Jeans // Booties // Black Ray Bans // Marc Jacobs Purse

If there is one holiday I loved the most while in college, it was without a doubt, Halloween. I would put a lot of detail into throwing the perfect Halloween party, and spend months planning out my Halloween costume. My favorite tradition of them all though, was going to the pumpkin patch, before carving pumpkins.

I think I have mentioned this to you all before but I can’t remember…. so I’ll just continue like I haven’t told ya’ll.

The Thursday before Halloween, my roommates and I would go to the closest pumpkin patch, take pictures with all of our pups and pick out the perfect pumpkin for carving. We would bring them back home, invite all of our closest friends over and have a huge pumpkin carving party. We would drink beer, play music, order pizza and just have the best evening. For some reason it is one of my favorite memories and most cherished times. It’s crazy that a bunch of  college kids would have so much fun carving pumpkins – ha!

Anyways, lets just say my love for carving pumpkins and Halloween runs strong haha. Sadly, for the past two years, Colton and I have been out of town on actual Halloween (Last year we were in Hamilton, NY) but one tradition we have kept on, is going to the pumpkin patch and carving pumpkins. This year, it was a bit more relaxed event, taken place in my living room watching Hocus Pocus – lol. Which is still the perfect night for me!

Hopefully next year, Colton and I will be in a bigger home and will be able to have everyone over for a full night of pumpkin carving just like we used to!

Right now, Houston is in that weird time where it is super chilly in the mornings & evenings, yet is pretty warm during the day. Since we went to pick out pumpkins towards the evening, this sweater was super acceptable as the temperatures were dropping quickly!

My favorite thing about this sweater is the fact that it is high in front and longer in the back. I also love that it is a turtleneck, it’s truly unique! Also, a little birdie told me it is selling out super fast, so just a heads up!

Have a great Wednesday!

Lauren
