Hi ya guys, welcome back! Sorry about not posting yesterday, Colton and I were in Austin for ACL all weekend and had originally planned on coming home on Sunday, but ended up driving back early Monday morning.

How was yall’s weekend though? And your Monday?! I kind of mention it yesterday on Instagram, but ya’ll, this weather has put me in THE BEST mood. I’m just giddy from ear to ear. Like it’s actually kind of starting to feel like fall!

Love, Love, Love it!

In honor of the weather  finally cooling down, I wanted to share a few fun things that I am looking forward to doing this fall.

(1) Going to the pumpkin patch

When I was in college, every year, Colton, my roommates and all of our dogs, would make our way to the pumpkin patch. We would get dressed up in all of our comfiest sweaters and make quite the evening out of it! It became one of my favorite traditions.

(2) Making all of my favorite pumpkin recipes!

I have been working on a few that I cannot wait to share with you all!

(3) Switching to Early Morning Saturday Runs

Because it is so hot during the summer in Houston, I usually go to spin on Saturdays, as opposed to running! Although now that the temperatures are dropping, I definitely think it is time to start running more! Speaking of which, if you’re thinking about running in a Turkey Trot this November and have never ran a 5k before, this is the perfect time to start training!

(4) Make a stew in the crock pot.

I love to do this on Sunday’s so that we can have it for the whole week! It’s warm and comforting and I swear it gets better every day.

(5) Finally put out all of my fall home decor.

I love dressing the apartment for the season. My favorite way to do this is by filling our home with fall candles and white pumpkins. They make our house feel so inviting and warm!

(6) Wrap up in a scarf and head to the farmers market.

There is nothing I love more than grabbing a cup of coffee and heading to the farmers market on the weekends. It’s relaxing, I get to bring Bentley and I love picking up fresh produce to have for the week!

(7) Spend one full weekend in Waco.

I know this may seem weird, but Waco in the fall, is my absolute favorite! Last time we went up, I wasn’t able to do a lot of my favorite things. So I  would really like to go back and spend a full weekend there. Maybe even put together a Waco Travel Guide?! We’ll see.

(8) Clean Out Closet / Put Up Summer Clothes

Every season, I put up clothing from the previous season and store them under my bed until it is time to bring them out again. This is my favorite storage container for it.

(9) Spend a whole Sunday watching football with Colton

Oddly enough, one of my favorite things about fall is just hanging out with Colton at our home and watching football all day. We open the doors, have music playing, and make snacks to munch on throughout the day. He brings out multiple TVs and we just kind of relax all day. I love it!

(10) Curl up and watch Halloween movies / drinking cider all night.

If you aren’t planning on watching Hocus Pocus at least once this season, then we can’t be friends….. Kidding! Lol but in all realness, who doesn’t love Hocus Pocus? When looking for movies, I always run to ABC Family or… “Freeform?” for their 13 Days of Halloween schedule. You can find it here

My Every Day Makeup Routine

Happy Friday you guys!

Man, oh man has it been a rainy week here in Houston.

I hope it doesn’t rain all weekend, but at the same time, I wouldn’t hate having a lazy movie weekend – lol! After getting a lot of messages from you guys, on my make up routine, I realized I hadn’t exactly done one yet. So here it is – lol.

Of course I change my make up routine, considering the occasion. But if you’re looking for my every day, work, errands, and life routine. This is it!  Besides the lipstick, this is also the routine I usually do for photoshoots as well!

Here it goes 🙂

Before I put my make up on, I always prep my skin. I told you all about my skin care routine in this post. First, I was my face with this foaming cleanser using my Foreo. Next, I apply this (life changing) eye creamwhich helps with dark circles, followed by this serum. Then I apply daily moisturizerwhich has SPF in it. Last, I use this lip exfoliator on my lips to get any dead skin off.

Primer // Foundation // Concealer

After my face is ready, I use this primer. I have tried multiple over the years, but this Laura Mercia Blemish-Less Primer takes the cake every time. Next, I use Dior Air Flash for my foundation and apply it with this brush. It’s pricey, but I love it! I have used every “top” foundation under the moon, but this is my go-to every time. It really leaves that air brush look. Then, I apply this Nars Radiant Concealer under my eyes in a triangle shape, as well as over any blemishes or pimples I may have. My absolute favorite, is this Cle De Peau Beaute Concealer, but it’s just a little to pricey for everyday use.

 Bronzer // Blush // Highlighters

This is my absolute favorite bronzer for a natural healthy glow. I’m not going to lie, I usually just apply it all over my face -lol. I love a good bronzed look. After I apply my bronzer, I apply this Chanel blush to my cheek bones and then use this Hour Glass Illuminating Powder for my highlighter.

Brows // Eye Shadow // Mascara

I use all Anastasia Beverly Hills products for my eye brows. I use this brow powder and this brow gel.  For my everyday eye shadow, I use just a little bit of this Bare Minerals Glimmer Eye Shadow. A little goes a long away.  (I’ve had the same one since I was 16!) Then I use this SmashBox Brightener on the inner corners of my eyes and right under my eye brows. I’m probably the most loyal to this brightener, I love how it looks and how it immediately brightens my eyes. For an every day look, I do not use eye liner. Instead, I just really make my mascara dramatic. I am not super loyal when it comes to mascara, but I am recently love, love, loving this Dior Mascara

For an every day look, especially for work, I like to wear more subtle, almost nude colors. I’ll either wear this light pink YSL Lipstick (Shade: Lingere Pink), this nude YSL Lipstick (Shade: 24 Blond Ingenu), or this Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment (Shade: Petal)

Finishing Power

Last but not least, I apply this Laura Mercier Translucent Powder and spray this Cauadelie Beauty Elixir all over my face before I leave!

The Beauty Device You Need In Your Life

I have told you guys this multiple times, but I really want to reiterate on the fact that I would never share something with you all, that I am not absolutely in love with. That if I am sharing something with you, it’s because I really do love it

Which is why I am sharing my newest obsession with you, this Luna Facial Cleansing Device by Foreo.

When it comes to my skin, I am very particular and I am always looking for the best products – within my price range at least lol.  As you guys know, I use Caudlie. You can find my post, here!   I absolutely love Caudalie and my skin care routine, but I recently I have felt that something was missing from it!  Even though I was doing all of my steps, I still felt like my face wasn’t getting as clean as it could. Like I knew I wasn’t getting all of the dirt & make up off my face. For this problem, most people have told me to get a Clarisonic. The thing is, I’ve actually owned one for a few years and have just never been impressed. I mean, yeah, it works great, but I always found using it to be, well, a hassle.

I always felt like it held a lot of bacteria and I hated trying to clean it. I didn’t like how big it was nor how you had to charge it. Idk, it just wasn’t meant for me and has honestly been under my sink, untouched, for easily 3 years.

Then when I saw this Luna Facial Cleansing Device, I knew it was what I needed.

I’m just so obsessed with it. I have been using my Luna for about 3 weeks now and my skin has never been clearer. My pores are smaller, I have less bumps and less black heads. I swear it even helps when my face is swollen. I love it because it is so easy to use, as well as to clean. The Luna is made of a ultra-hygienic silicon brush, which essentially lets you clean it just by running water over it. It’s as if Foreo took every problem they saw with the Clarisonic and made the Luna. It also holds an insane charge and is water proof which is really nice when I wash my face in the shower.

And ya’ll, this is not a sponsored post. Just 100% realness because it’s that good.

Colton wants one, my sister won’t stop begging me for one and the moment I showed it to my girl friends over the weekend, they became just as obsessed. The Luna Sonic Cleansing Device really is the real deal.

If you have a Luna and love it, let me know!

If you don’t have one, trust me and get one ASAP. Your face will be thanking you for it.

Promise 🙂

Springing Into Summer Beauty Must-Haves

Life-To-Laurel-summer-beautylife-to-lauren-summer-beauty-productslife-to-lauren-summer-beauty-favoritesOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

As we approach our trip, I find myself gravitating more & more towards my summer beauty routine. When it comes to summer beauty, I’m a firm believer in less is more. Actually, I always believe in that, but it’s especially true during the warmer months! I love the all natural, dewy, sun goddess look. Like Blake Lively! I mean, raise your hand if you don’t want to look like Blake Lively… That’s what I thought.

These are five of my favorite products that help me achieve that natural summer glow.

St. Tropez Tanning Mouse: I love a nice golden look, but I do not like the side effects that come along with sun bathing and tanning beds. While 16-year-old me could have cared less, 24-year-old me is having a heart attack over every wrinkle and mole on my body. You guys know very well that I love a good spray tan, but for the times I can’t make it to be professionally done, I reach for St. Tropez. It  always comes out incredibly smooth with no streaks, it dries quickly and it has a pleasant smell. You put it on with a special application mitt and I promise it’s super easy to use. Here is a video on how to apply it. Is it as great as a professional tan? Of course not, but it’s a the perfect alternative.

Lauren Mercier Tinted Moisturizer: In general, I love a good tinted moisturizer over anything. While I don’t wear it normally for shoots or for special occasions, I do wear it the other 75% of time. It’s perfect for summer because, like its name, it is a moisturizer, that is also pigmented to give you the color you need. It’s effortless and clean. The Laura Mercier is a beautiful option and my go-to. I also use Laura Mercier primer. If you’re looking for a foundation that gives you just enough coverage without looking cake-y, then this is the perfect option!

Peter Thomas Roth Hydrating Gel: I LOVE THIS GEL . Especially after I’ve been in the sun all day or if my skin is just looking a little sun damaged in general. In minutes it restores your face, giving you that dewy look you desire. Have you been at the beach all day? Then you need to try this gel, and thank me later. Or at least your skin will. It’s just incredibly smoothing and gives you instant moisture.

Fresh Sugar Lip Balm: I honestly can’t rave enough about this lip balm. Not only does it give off a beautiful and natural tint, but it also has SPF in it. So it’s perfect for the spring/summer time. Actually, it’s perfect for all year round. It’s less of a hassle than lipstick and gives your lips just the right amount of tint while protecting them at the same time.

Jergens Shea Beauty Oil: Have you ever wondered how models and girls like Natasha Oakley & Devin Brugman have that constant glow? It’s from beauty oils. I originally fell in love with beauty oils after using Bali Body for awhile. While I love Bali, it is expensive and one bottle will maybe last a month.  So when I went on a search for an alternative, I found Jergens Shea Beauty Oil. I apply it right after I get out of the shower, and then also all over my body before wearing a swimsuit, dress or shorts. Not only does is give your skin an amazing glow, but it also keeps it hydrated! It’s just all around amazing for your skin!
